The worlds first connected football jersey.
For the first time, Nike launched connected apparel in a football jersey. By simply tapping your phone to your jersey, fans were given access to high heat products, insider content, and exclusive experiences. This included allowing Chelsea fans to co-create Chelsea's 3rd kit alongside the Nike apparel team.
Role: Concept Development, Product Design, Art Direction, & Prototyping, along with the help of the fine folks at I Love Dust.
By scanning a NikeConnect logo on the jersey label through the Nike app, fans gained access to limited edition products, customized content and exclusive experiences.
With football jerseys reaching the heights of youth fashion, we created a first of it’s kind multi-stage poll & co-creation tool for Nike Design & the fans. Fans were able to choose the design direction / mood via visualizations pictured below. Over the following weeks fans participated in every stage of the design process as Nike learned to digitally co-design with fans for the first time.
